Localization

The Localization section lets you control how dates, times, and currency are displayed across your account. It also lets you rename labels throughout the app to match the language your company uses — for example, calling "Technicians" something like "Cleaning Pros" instead.

Navigate to Settings → Company Settings → Localization to open this section.

tip

The Localization section may need to be enabled for your company. If you don't see it in the Company Settings sidebar, contact your administrator.

Terminology Customization

The Terminology Customization card lets you rename labels in the app to match your company's language. For example, if your company calls field staff "Cleaning Pros" instead of "Technicians," you can set that here. The change appears everywhere that label is used in the app.

tip

Terminology Customization may need to be enabled separately for your company. If you see Regional Settings but not Terminology Customization, contact your administrator.

This section has two tabs: Overrides and Browse Keys.

Overrides Tab

The Overrides tab shows all the custom label replacements you have set up. Each row shows:

  • Key — the internal name for the label
  • Namespace — the area of the app the label belongs to (Common, Schedule, Customers, etc.)
  • Default Value — the original label text
  • Custom Value — your replacement text

To add a new override:

  1. Click Add Override in the top right of the Overrides section.
  2. Select a Namespace from the dropdown (for example, "Common" for general terms like "Technician").
  3. Enter the Translation Key — the exact key name for the label you want to replace.
  4. Enter your Custom Value — the replacement text to show in the app.
  5. Click Create to save.

To edit an existing override:

  1. Click the edit icon on the row you want to change.
  2. Update the Custom Value field.
  3. Click Update to save.

To delete an override:

  1. Click the delete icon on the row.
  2. The label immediately reverts to its default text.

To search or filter overrides:

  • Type in the Search box to filter by key name or custom value.
  • Use the Namespace dropdown to show only overrides from a specific area of the app.

Browse Keys Tab

The Browse Keys tab shows all the labels available for customization, organized by namespace. Use this tab when you know you want to change a label but don't know the exact key name.

Browse the tree to find the label you want to change. Click any key to open the override dialog, pre-filled with the key name and the default value. Enter your custom text and click Create to save.

Tips

  • Change Regional Settings first. Set your locale, date format, time format, and currency before your team starts using the app. Changing these later is fine, but it avoids confusion if everyone starts with the same defaults.
  • Allow User Override is on by default. If your team works across different regions or time zones, leave it on so each person can set their preferred format. Turn it off if you want strict consistency across the account.
  • Use Browse Keys when you are not sure of the key name. It is much easier to find a label by browsing than by guessing key names.
  • Test terminology changes before announcing them. After saving a custom term, open a few pages in the app to confirm the change looks right in context. A label that makes sense in one place may feel odd in another.
  • Namespace filters help narrow the list. The Schedule namespace covers schedule-related labels, Customers covers the customer area, and Common covers terms used throughout the app. Start with Common for high-visibility terms like "Technician" or "Job."
  • Deleting an override is instant. There is no confirmation step. If you delete an override by mistake, click Add Override and re-enter it.
