Payments
The Payments area covers the administrator-level payment tools in MaidCentral Pulse. This is where you connect your payment processor, place holds on customer cards before service, fix payment mistakes, and match your bank deposits to daily card activity.
These guides are written for Super Administrators and Administrators. Office Managers do not use these admin surfaces. They collect payments through the Invoicing pages instead — see the related guides below.
In This Section
- Payment Processing Setup — Connect the Paystri payment processor, test the connection, and import credentials from MaidCentral V2.
- Credit Card Preauthorization — Place holds on customer cards before service day using the Preauthorization workspace.
- Charge Customers (Deposits) — Collect deposits for upcoming jobs by charging cards on file. It may need to be turned on for your company.
- Refunds and Voids — Cancel a same-day payment or return money to a customer from Transaction History.
- Payment Reconciliation — Match funding batches, local charges, and accounting deposits for any funding date.
How These Pieces Fit Together
Setup comes first. Once Paystri is connected, saved cards work everywhere — on the customer's Billing & Payments tab, in the invoicing charge flows, and in the customer portal. Preauthorization runs before service to confirm cards are good. Refunds and voids clean up mistakes after a charge. Reconciliation closes the loop by matching processor deposits to your books.
