Customer Attachments

The Attachments tab on a customer record is where your team stores and manages files related to that customer. This includes inspection reports, signed agreements, photos, notes, and any other supporting documents.

This feature may need to be enabled for your company. If you don't see the Attachments tab, contact your administrator to check your feature settings.

How to Open the Attachments Tab

  1. Go to Office > Contacts.
  2. Click a customer's name to open their detail workspace.
  3. Select Attachments from the left navigation.

The Attachments section appears in the left rail under the customer's navigation items. It only shows when the Attachments feature is enabled for your company.

What You Can Do

The Attachments tab gives your team a central place to keep files connected to a customer record. Rather than storing documents in email threads or shared folders, everything stays attached to the customer and is accessible by anyone with account access.

Planned capabilities include:

  • File list — View all uploaded files with names, types, and upload dates
  • Upload files — Add new documents using the Upload File button or drag-and-drop
  • Preview — View images and PDFs directly without downloading
  • Download — Save a local copy of any file
  • Delete — Remove files that are no longer needed
  • Filter by type — Narrow the list to specific file types (e.g., PDFs, images)
note

The Attachments tab is currently being rolled out. Some of these capabilities may not yet be available in your account. The Upload File button will be active once the feature is fully enabled.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Name files clearly. Use descriptive file names like InspectionReport-2026-03-15.pdf so your team can find them quickly without opening each file.
  • Use attachments for shared references. Any file you upload here is visible to all team members with access to the customer record — ideal for signed agreements or photos from a walkthrough.
  • Keep the list tidy. Delete outdated or duplicate files periodically. A clean attachments list is easier to scan during a call or visit.
