Add Property Drawer
The Add Property drawer is where you add a new service location to a customer's account. Use it any time a customer adds a home, office, or other property that needs cleaning service.
Once a property is saved, it appears in the Service Locations tab on the customer record. You can then build out its Room Master and attach recurring service sets to it.
Who Can Access This

Opening the Drawer
- Open a customer record.
- Go to the Service Locations tab.
- Click Add Property.
The Add Property drawer slides in from the right.
Sections in the Drawer
The drawer is divided into four collapsible sections. Basic Details and Property Specifications are expanded by default. Access & Security and Additional Details are collapsed — click their headers to open them.
Basic Details
This section captures the address and property type. All fields marked with an asterisk are required.
Property Name (required) A short label for this property. Use something that identifies it clearly, especially if the customer has multiple locations.
Examples: Main Residence, Downtown Office, Vacation Home
Street Address (required) The physical street address, including any unit or apartment number.
City (required) The city where the property is located.
State (required)
The two-letter state abbreviation (e.g., PA, OH, TX). For a Canadian branch, this field is labeled Province instead.
ZIP Code (required)
Enter a 5-digit ZIP code (e.g., 15212) or the extended 9-digit format (e.g., 15212-5000). For a Canadian branch, this field is labeled Postal Code and accepts a Canadian postal code instead (e.g., M5V 2T6).
When you enter a valid ZIP or postal code, the system automatically looks up the matching service zone for that address. The service zone is required to save the property. If the code falls outside your service area, you will see a validation message.
Property Type (required) Select one:
| Option | Use For |
|---|---|
| Residential | Houses, apartments, condos |
| Commercial | Retail, industrial, or mixed-use buildings |
| Office | Dedicated office spaces |
Property Specifications
These fields describe the physical size of the property. This data feeds into the pricing calculator when you create a service set.
Square Feet (required) The finished square footage of the property. Enter a positive whole number.
Number of Floors (optional) Select how many floors the property has: 1, 2, 3, or 4+.
Bedrooms (required) Select the bedroom count: Studio (0 bed), 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5+.
Bathrooms (required) Select the bathroom count: 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, or 4+.
If you select a half-bath value (e.g., 1.5 or 2.5), a note will appear below the field indicating the value will be rounded to the nearest whole number for scheduling purposes. The selected value is still visible in the form, but the rounded value is what gets saved.
Access & Security
This section stores information your technicians need to enter the property. These fields are optional but strongly recommended — they appear on jobs so your team always has what they need on arrival.
Access Instructions General instructions for getting into the property. Examples: "Ring bell and wait 30 seconds," "Door code is 4455," "Call customer on arrival."
Home Key The number on the property's key tag. Unless Edit Home Key is on, you can't type one here, and the field reads Turn on Edit Home Key to type a Home Key.
If your company has Edit Home Key turned on, this is a text box and you can type your own Home Key (up to 50 characters). A typed Home Key also adds the Home Key tag to the property. Edit Home Key may need to be turned on for your company. An Administrator can turn it on under Settings > Integrations & System > Pulse Features.
Write where the key is kept, such as "Lockbox on front porch", in Access Instructions.
Parking Information Where the cleaning team should park. Examples: "Driveway on left," "Street parking only," "Use visitor spaces in garage — Level P1."
Additional Details
Pet Information Notes about pets at the property. Include the type of pet, name, any special instructions, and allergy warnings. Examples: "Two cats, indoor only, do not let them outside," "Dog named Buddy — friendly but jumps," "Customer is allergic to dogs — confirm no pets before scheduling."
Saving the Property
The footer has three buttons:
| Button | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Cancel | Closes the drawer without saving |
| Create Property | Saves the property and returns to the Service Locations tab |
| Create & Add Service | Saves the property and immediately opens the full page quote with this property selected, so you can add a service to it (see Add Service) |
Use Create & Add Service when you are onboarding a new customer and want to set up their recurring service in one flow.
What Happens After Saving
- The new property card appears in the Service Locations tab.
- The property's service zone is auto-assigned based on the ZIP code.
- You can now add rooms via the Room Master and attach service sets.
Tips
- Name properties clearly. If a customer has a home and a vacation cabin, name them something specific — not just "Home 1" and "Home 2." Clear names save time when your office team is scheduling.
- Fill in Access & Security before the first job. Technicians see this information on their job details. Having it ready prevents last-minute phone calls.
- Use "Create & Add Service" for new customers. It takes you straight from the new property to quoting its service.
- Square footage matters for pricing. The service pricing calculator uses the property's square footage. Enter it accurately so quotes and invoices are correct from day one.
- Half-bath rounding is expected. If a property has 2.5 bathrooms, the system saves it as 3. This is a backend constraint and does not affect the displayed value until the record is reloaded.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | Solution |
|---|---|
| Add Property button is missing | You may not have permission to add properties. Contact your administrator. |
| ZIP code shows a validation error | The ZIP code may not match a configured service zone. Verify the address and contact your administrator to check zone configuration. |
| Service zone field shows an error even after entering a valid ZIP | The ZIP is outside your company's service area. You cannot save the property without a valid zone. |
| Cannot select a property type | The dropdown may not have loaded. Refresh the page and try again. |
| Property saved but does not appear in the list | Refresh the Service Locations tab. If the property is still missing, contact your administrator. |
| Bathroom rounding warning appears | This is expected behavior. The system rounds half-bath values to the nearest whole number for scheduling. |
