Schedule Alerts and Team Flags
The Schedule page now groups its alerts sidebar by how urgent each item is, and flags teams directly on the timeline when they're unstaffed or still have unassigned work for the day.
Overview
Two related additions help you triage a busy day faster:
- The alerts sidebar can be grouped either by team (the previous behavior) or by urgency, so the most time-sensitive items surface first regardless of which team they belong to.
- The timeline itself flags a team row when that team has no technicians assigned, or when it still has pending work sitting in the Not Scheduled column.
Key Features
Alerts Grouped by Urgency
A toggle above the alerts sidebar switches between grouping by team and grouping by urgency. When grouped by urgency, alerts are bucketed into three tiers:
- Now — needs attention immediately.
- Soon — coming up, but not yet urgent.
- When Convenient — worth knowing about, no immediate action needed.
Switching the toggle doesn't change which alerts exist — it only changes how they're organized, so you can pick whichever view matches how you're working the day.
Search and Quick Filters
The search box at the top of the alerts sidebar narrows the list as you type. It matches the customer name, the team name, the job's zone, and the alert type.
You don't have to guess the alert-type names. Click into the search box and a quick filters list opens with the alert types you can search for — the same types as the Filter by type menu (for example No Check-In, Time Pref, Tech Pref, or OT Risk). Click one to show only alerts of that type. If what you've typed doesn't match any alert type, the list shows No matching filters. — you can keep typing to search by customer, team, or zone instead. Press Esc to close the list, and use the clear button in the box to show every alert again.
Unstaffed and Not-Scheduled Flags
On the timeline, a team row is flagged when:
- The team is unstaffed — no technicians are currently assigned to it.
- Work is pending in Not Scheduled — jobs are sitting in the Not Scheduled column, waiting to be placed on a team's timeline for the day.
These flags make it easy to scan the whole day and spot the teams that still need a technician or still have unplaced work, without opening each row individually.
"Not Scheduled" here refers to jobs that haven't been placed on a team's timeline yet for the day. This is a different meaning from the "Not Scheduled" label you may see on an individual technician in the Daily Schedule sidebar, which refers to a technician who isn't scheduled to work that particular weekday. See Technician Assignability for that concept.
Why does a team still say No Techs after I added a technician?
The Schedule board shows only technicians with Show on Scheduler turned on, and only they appear when you add a shift from the board. Open the technician's profile, turn on Show on Scheduler, and add the shift again. See Edit Technician Drawer.
How to Group Alerts by Urgency
- Open the Schedule page.
- In the alerts sidebar, click the grouping toggle.
- Choose Urgency to see alerts bucketed into Now, Soon, and When Convenient.
- Click the toggle again to switch back to grouping by team.
Tips and Best Practices
- Start your day in the Urgency view. It puts the items that need action right now at the top, regardless of which team they belong to.
- Use quick filters to work one problem at a time. Pick an alert type like No Check-In from the search box to clear every alert of that kind before moving to the next.
- Scan the timeline for flagged team rows first. An unstaffed team or a full Not Scheduled column is often the fastest way to find the day's real risk before digging into individual alerts.
