Schedule Views

The Schedule page has four main views on desktop and two on mobile. Each view is designed for a different type of work — dispatching, planning, recurring patterns, and route review. This article explains what each view shows, what sub-modes are available, and when to use each one.

Opening a View

Go to Office > Schedule. The four main view tabs appear at the top of the page:

  • Timeline
  • Calendar
  • Master
  • Route

Click any tab to switch views. The selected view is saved in the page URL so it persists when you refresh or share the link.

Desktop Views

Timeline

The Timeline view is the primary dispatch board. Teams appear as rows on the left. Time runs across the top as an hourly axis. Each job appears as a colored block in its team's row at its scheduled start time.

Use Timeline when you need to:

  • See everything happening on a single day
  • Drag jobs to new times or teams
  • Search for specific customers, addresses, or teams
  • Review and resolve flagged jobs
  • Track job progress against the current time

Reading the Timeline

Team rows — Each team has its own row with the team's color, name, and job count on the left. Below the team name, you can see the team members listed with position badges: C (Captain, blue), M (Team Member, gray), and T (Trainee, green). Each member's scheduled hours for the day are shown as small time range blocks.

Team hours — The team header shows the team's labor hours for the day. Hover the number to see Allowed Labor Hours (total cleaning time across the team) and Allowed Clock Hours (time in the home: labor hours divided by the technicians working the job). When a job is shared by more than one team, each team counts only its share of that job's labor, split by how many technicians are working each team. For example, an 8-hour job shared by a team of 1 and a team of 3 adds 2 hours to the first team and 6 hours to the second. Both teams show the same clock hours. In each team's row, the job card shows that team's share too, and hovering the card adds the job total in brackets.

Shared jobs in the team count and revenue — A job shared by more than one team adds only that team's share of the job to the team's job count and revenue. The share is by team size: the technicians scheduled and working when the job starts when automatic team size is on (a trainee counts as the service type's trainee factor), the team size override when manual team size is on, otherwise the service type's planned team size. Two teams of the same size each show 0.5 job and half the job's price, and a team with that job plus one of its own shows 1.5 jobs. The totals at the top of the Timeline count the job once, at its full price. Labor hours keep the split described above.

Time axis — Hours run across the top with vertical gridlines at each hour and lighter gridlines every 30 minutes. In Business Hours mode (the default), the axis follows your company's business hours from Settings > General: it starts one hour before you open and ends one hour after you close, so an 8 AM to 5 PM company sees 7 AM to 6 PM. If a job or event that day falls outside that range, the axis widens to show it, and so does a team's working hours when Highlight team availability is on. When business hours aren't set, the axis shows 6 AM to 7 PM. Switch to All Hours to see the full 24-hour clock.

Current time indicator — When viewing today's date, a red vertical line with a red dot at the top marks the current time. The page auto-scrolls to this position when you first load the schedule.

Job Blocks on the Timeline

Each job appears as a block positioned at its scheduled start time, with its width matching the job's duration. Job blocks show:

  • Customer name — truncated if the block is narrow
  • Duration badge — hours displayed as a small badge (for example, "2h")
  • Status indicator — a colored left border and icon showing the job's current state:
StatusColorIcon
ScheduledGrayClock
In ProgressBluePlay
CompletedGreenCheck
CancelledRedAlert
  • Zone color — shown as a badge, a right border stripe, or the full card background depending on your View Settings preference. Zone colors now use a balanced opacity so they remain visible without obscuring the card text.
  • Frequency badge — for recurring jobs, shows Weekly, Bi-weekly, Monthly, etc.
  • Technician avatars — small photos or initials of assigned technicians with position badges
  • Tags — important shared tags are highlighted on the card
  • Alert badges — colored indicators from MaidSense if the job has scheduling alerts

When jobs or events overlap in time on the same team, they stack vertically so you can see both blocks without one hiding behind the other. A previous issue where overlapping job cards could render on top of each other has been fixed — all overlapping jobs now display cleanly in stacked rows.

Job Quick Actions

Click the three-dot menu on any job block to see available actions:

  • View Details — open the Job Detail drawer
  • Edit — open the edit form
  • Reschedule — move the job to a different date
  • Cancel Job — cancel with options for fees and notifications
  • Lockout — lock the job to prevent changes
  • Modify Recurring — edit the recurring pattern
  • Cancel All Future — cancel all future occurrences (shown in red, separated from other actions)
  • View Customer — open the Customer Details drawer

The available actions depend on the job's current status and your role.

Business Hours / All HoursButton in the toolbarBusiness Hours shows your business hours from Settings > General, one hour either side (6 AM–7 PM when they aren't set). All Hours shows the full 24-hour clock

Right sidebar — The Timeline includes a collapsible right sidebar (labeled Flagged Jobs when collapsed) with two panels:

  • Alerts — schedule alerts, including jobs with time preference, technician preference, or notification window issues. In Classic Experience Mode this is the Classic alerts panel instead.

Timeline View Preferences

Click the View Settings button (slider icon) in the Timeline toolbar to open the preferences popover. These settings are saved per user and persist across sessions. Each setting resolves through a chain: your personal setting first, then your branch default, then the company default.

The preferences popover has four sections:

Calendar

The Calendar view shows jobs and events in a traditional calendar layout. It is designed for volume planning, not same-day dispatching.

Sub-modes — Three buttons in the Calendar toolbar switch between layouts:

ModeWhat It Shows
MonthFull month grid. Each cell shows the jobs and events scheduled on that day.
WeekSeven-day horizontal layout. Each day column lists its jobs and events.
DaySingle-day detailed view. Shows all jobs and events for one selected date.

The date navigation arrows and date picker in the Calendar toolbar move by the current sub-mode — one month, one week, or one day at a time.

Events on the Calendar and how to filter them

Events show as chips with a calendar icon, listed before the day's jobs. Click an event to open its details.

In Filters, open Hide Events and check Enabled to take events off the Calendar and Timeline, or pick one or more Event Tags to show only events with those tags. The Team filter also applies to events on the Calendar. Satellite Office applies to events only: with an office selected, events at other offices and at the main office are hidden. Hide Events and Event Tags are not offered on Master, Route or Dispatch; on Route, events always show as stops in the team's route.

Condensed View toggle — The same Condensed / Normal toggle available in Timeline is also available in Calendar. Condensed mode reduces job card height in month and week views.

Drag-and-drop — Drag-and-drop is not available on the Calendar. Use Timeline to reassign jobs.

Master

The Master view shows your recurring schedule across a four-week cycle. Instead of a single day, it displays how jobs repeat week over week for each team.

Use Master when you need to:

  • Review recurring job patterns (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
  • Assign recurring jobs to a team for the first time
  • Check that no two recurring jobs conflict in the same time slot
  • Balance team load across cycle weeks

Day tabs — Seven tabs run across the top (Monday through Sunday). Select a day to see all recurring work for that day across the four-week cycle.

Availability overlay — Shows each team's technician working hours as a shaded background behind the columns. A separate row above the timeline lists each technician with their scheduled hours.

For detailed instructions, see Master Schedule.

note

The Master Schedule tab may need to be enabled for your company. Contact your administrator if it is not visible.

Route

The Route view is for pre-dispatch route planning and efficiency review. It shows jobs grouped by team with geographic and timing context.

Sub-modes — Two icon buttons appear in the toolbar when the Route tab is active:

ModeIconWhat It Shows
Map ViewMap iconA map on the left and team cards on the right. Each team card shows technician avatars, route stats, and a job sequence timeline. Job cards can't be dragged here; use Timeline to reassign.
List ViewList iconSummary stat cards across the top (active routes, total jobs, hours, efficiency, revenue, miles) followed by expandable team efficiency cards. No map is shown.

MaidSense — A MaidSense badge appears in the toolbar when Route is active. The Route view uses MaidSense to calculate potential savings from route optimization. The List view shows a Potential Savings card when optimization suggestions are available.

For detailed instructions on the Route view, see Route Map and Route List.

Mobile Views

On mobile, the Schedule page shows two tabs:

TabWhat It Shows
TimelineA combined view with a scrollable job list and an integrated map below. Tap any job card to open its details.
RoutesA route map with team cards for pre-departure route review.

Mobile does not include the Calendar or Master Schedule tabs. For those views, use a desktop or tablet browser.

Tips

  • Timeline is the starting point for most days. Switch to Route only when you need geographic or efficiency context.
  • The Calendar Month view is not for dispatching. It does not support drag-to-move. Use it to spot busy days at a glance.
  • The Route toggle persists across sessions. If you prefer List View for daily reviews, it stays set until you switch it back.
  • Condensed View in Timeline is helpful for large teams. If you have more than 8 teams, condensed mode lets you see them all without scrolling.
  • Master Schedule and Route tabs may need to be enabled. If you do not see them, contact your administrator.

Troubleshooting

The Master or Route tab is not visible

These views may need to be enabled for your company. Contact your administrator.

The Route Map is blank or shows an error

Map display requires a map provider to be configured for your account. If the map fails to load, switch to List View using the icon button in the toolbar. Contact your administrator if the map continues to fail.

The Calendar is missing jobs I expected to see

Check the date shown in the Calendar header — it may be on the wrong month or week. Use the arrows or date picker to navigate to the correct period. The Calendar also respects global filters — if a team or status filter is active, it may be hiding some jobs. If events are missing, check whether Hide Events is enabled or an Event Tags selection is hiding them.

I cannot see the Condensed View toggle

The Condensed / Normal toggle only appears when you are on the Timeline or Calendar tab. It does not appear on Master or Route.

On mobile, I cannot find the Calendar view

Calendar and Master Schedule are desktop-only views. Use a desktop or tablet browser to access them.
