Jobs & Events Tab

The Jobs & Events tab shows every job a technician has worked on. Browse their history in a monthly calendar to spot patterns or shift to a table for detailed filtering, sorting, and export. Click any job to open the full job detail.

Access to this tab requires permission to view technician profiles. Contact your administrator if the tab is not visible.

Opening the Tab

  1. Go to Office > Technicians.
  2. Click a technician's name to open their profile.
  3. Select Jobs & Events in the left navigation.

Choosing a View

Two view buttons appear in the top-right corner of the section:

ButtonWhat it shows
CalendarA monthly grid with colored job indicators on each day
TableA paginated data table with full job details

The view you choose is saved in the URL so refreshing the page keeps your selection.

Calendar View

The calendar shows jobs for the current month, one cell per day.

Reading the Calendar

Each day shows up to three job indicators. Each indicator shows:

  • The job's scheduled start time
  • The customer's name

If a day has more than three jobs, a +N more link appears below the indicators. Hover over any indicator to see a tooltip with more detail:

  • Customer name
  • Service set name
  • Scheduled time and duration
  • Job status

Job indicators are color-coded by status (for example, completed jobs appear in green).

Use the navigation controls in the calendar header to move between months. The current month name and year appear next to the controls. Today's date is highlighted in the grid.

Table View

The table view uses server-side pagination and loads records as you browse. Results update automatically when you apply filters.

Table Columns

Productivity Color Coding

The Productivity column uses color to show performance at a glance:

ColorMeaning
Green100% or above — at or under allowed time
Yellow85% to 99% — slightly over allowed time
RedBelow 85% — significantly over allowed time

Clicking a Row

Click any row to open the Job Detail dialog. The dialog shows full information about that job including notes, photos, and billing details.

Filtering Jobs

The search box in the toolbar filters jobs by customer name or service information. Type a term and the table refreshes automatically.

Filter Drawer

Click the Filters button to open the filter drawer. When any filter is active, the button shows a count badge with the number of active filters.

Status — filter to one job status at a time:

  • All Statuses
  • Completed
  • Scheduled
  • In Progress
  • Cancelled
  • Pending

Date Range — enter a From and To date to restrict results to a specific period. You can set either date independently.

Search — enter a keyword to search by customer name or service description. This is the same search as the toolbar search box.

Click Apply Filters to close the drawer and reload results. Click Clear All to reset all filters at once.

Tips

  • Use date range filters to check a pay period — set the From and To dates to a payroll period to see all jobs a technician worked during that time. The table shows hours and productivity per job, making payroll review faster.
  • Switch to calendar for scheduling gaps — the calendar view makes it easy to spot days with no jobs or unusually light coverage before reviewing the full table.
  • Productivity in red is a conversation starter — a job below 85% may mean the technician needed more time than planned. Check the job notes or talk with the technician before drawing conclusions.
  • Hover before clicking — the calendar tooltip gives you the key details (customer, time, status) without opening the full job dialog, which saves time when scanning a busy month.
  • Active jobs show in blue — if a technician is currently working a job, the clock-out column shows active in blue. This helps managers confirm field activity in real time.

Troubleshooting

No jobs appear in the calendar or table

Confirm no active date range filter is restricting results. Open the Filters drawer and check the Date Range fields — clear them if set. If the technician is new, they may not have job history yet.

The Filters button count seems wrong

The count badge shows the number of active filter categories (Status, Date Range). If you set both a From and To date, that counts as one filter. Clear All resets everything.

Clicking a row does nothing

If the row data has not fully loaded, clicks may not respond. Wait for the row to finish loading (server-side data loads per page) and try again.

Productivity is missing for some rows

Productivity requires both clock-in and clock-out times and a configured allowed hours value for the service set. Jobs that are still in progress or were not properly clocked out will not show a productivity percentage.
