Job Detail Drawer

The Job Detail drawer opens when you click a job from the technician's Jobs & Events tab. It gives you a complete view of that job — from customer and home information to timesheets, room breakdowns, photos, and the invoice. You can also take actions like rescheduling or canceling the job directly from the drawer.

Viewing timesheet pay columns requires payroll read access. If those columns appear blank or are hidden, your role may not include payroll permission. Contact your administrator.

Opening the Drawer

  1. Go to Office > Technicians.
  2. Click a technician's name to open their profile.
  3. Select Jobs & Events in the left navigation.
  4. Click any row in the table view, or click a job indicator in the calendar view.

The drawer slides in from the right. On mobile, it opens from the bottom of the screen.

Drawer Header

The top of the drawer shows key details about the job at a glance:

  • Customer name — click to open customer quick actions
  • Home address — the service location for this job
  • Scheduled date and time — when the job was or is scheduled
  • Job price — the total billable amount
  • Status badge — the current job status (for example, Completed, In Progress, Scheduled)
  • Job ID — the unique job number for reference

Live Time Bar

When technicians are currently clocked in on the job, a progress bar appears below the header. It shows how much time has elapsed compared to the total allowed hours. A badge displays one of these states:

BadgeMeaning
OKWithin allowed time
CloseNearing the allowed time limit
OvertimeOver the allowed time

The time bar and badge update live while the job is active.

Tabs

The drawer is organized into five tabs. Each tab loads its data the first time you click it.

Summary Tab

The Summary tab (labeled Info on mobile) is the main workspace for viewing and editing job details. It has four sections.

Customer — shows the customer's name, phone, and contact details.

Home — shows the service property address and any home-specific notes on file.

Service & Job — shows the service type and key job settings. If you have edit permission, click Edit to modify the following inline:

  • Scheduled start time (read-only once a technician has clocked in on the job)
  • Assigned team
  • Job tags
  • Special instructions

Click Save to apply changes or Cancel to discard them.

Timesheets — a collapsible section listing each technician's clock-in and clock-out times for this job. The table shows:

ColumnDescription
TechnicianName of the team member
Clock InTime the technician clocked in
Clock OutTime the technician clocked out
HoursTotal hours worked
PayCalculated pay (visible with payroll permission only)

Click the section header to expand or collapse the timesheet list.

Invoice — shows the fee breakdown for this job. Each row is a line item with a description, quantity, and amount. Use Add Add-on to add extra charges to the invoice. Click a line item to edit or remove it.

Rooms Tab

The Rooms tab shows a table of each room included in the job. For each room, you can see the fee allocated and the time allowed. This helps you verify that the scope of the job matches what was planned.

Notes & Photos Tab

The Notes & Photos tab shows all notes and images attached to this job.

Notes — text notes added before, during, or after the job. Each note shows the author and date.

Photos — images uploaded by technicians or office staff. For each photo you can:

  • Preview — click to open the full-size image
  • Download — save the image to your device
  • Delete — remove the photo from the job record

Use the upload button to add new photos directly from this tab.

Instructions Tab

The Instructions tab displays the service instructions for this job. Instructions are set at the service set or home level and give technicians guidance on how to complete the job. This tab is read-only in the drawer — update instructions from the home or service set settings.

Inspections Tab

The Inspections tab shows any inspection results recorded for this job. Inspections are completed by supervisors during or after the job. Each entry shows the date, inspector name, and scores or pass/fail results by area.

Actions Menu

The Actions button in the drawer footer opens a dropdown with job management options. Available actions depend on the job's current status.

Cancel All Future Jobs is permanent. This action cancels every upcoming occurrence of the recurring schedule and cannot be undone. Confirm with the customer before using this option.

Tips

  • Expand timesheets to verify hours — before approving a time clock correction request, open the job in this drawer and expand the Timesheets section to compare the recorded times against the correction request.
  • Add photos from the drawer — if a technician forgot to upload before-and-after photos, you can add them here without going to the schedule.
  • Check the live time bar on active jobs — if a job is running long, the time bar gives you a quick read on how far over the technician is before you call them.
  • Use Create Ticket for follow-ups — if a customer reports a problem after a job, open the job in this drawer and use Create Ticket to link the follow-up directly to the job record.
  • Instructions are read-only here — if you need to update instructions, navigate to the home profile or service set settings. Changes take effect on future jobs.

Troubleshooting

The Actions button is missing options

Some actions are only available for specific job statuses. For example, you cannot reschedule a completed job. If an expected action does not appear, check the job status badge in the header.

Pay columns are blank in Timesheets

Timesheet pay columns require payroll read permission. If those columns are hidden or show no data, your role does not include that permission. Contact your administrator to request access.

Photos do not appear after upload

Refresh the tab by navigating away and back. If photos still do not appear, check your internet connection and try uploading again. Large image files may take a moment to process.

The drawer does not open when clicking a job row

If the row data has not fully loaded, clicks may not respond. Wait for the page to finish loading and try again. Server-side data loads per page in the table view.

Cancel All Future Jobs does not appear

This option only appears for jobs that belong to a recurring schedule. One-time jobs do not have this option.
