Franchise KPI Report

The Franchise KPI Report gives franchise owners and host administrators a single view of performance across all locations. Compare revenue, efficiency, payroll, staffing, lead conversion, and quality metrics side by side.

Year-over-Year Comparison

Toggle YoY Comparison in the toolbar to add delta columns next to each metric. Each delta column shows:

  • An arrow icon indicating direction (up, down, or flat)
  • The change expressed as a percentage or percentage points (for rate metrics)
  • Color coding: green for improvements, red for declines

For metrics where lower is better (churn, turnover, skip percentage, payroll-to-revenue ratio), the colors are inverted so that a decrease shows as green.

Summary Rows

The table includes two pinned rows at the bottom:

  • Systemwide Averages -- The average value across all locations for each metric
  • Total -- The sum across all locations for summable metrics (revenue, counts), or the average for rate metrics

Drilling into a Location

Click any location name in the table to see that location's weekly breakdown. The weekly view shows the same KPI columns broken down by week for the selected period. Click Back to All Locations to return to the summary.

Dashboard Charts

The Franchise portal dashboard includes three charts powered by the same data warehouse metrics:

  • Revenue trend -- Line chart of revenue over time across all locations
  • Location comparison -- Bar chart comparing total sales by location
  • KPI summary cards -- Headline metrics (total sales, job count, active homes, location count) with trend indicators

Column Visibility

Your column visibility choices are saved in your browser. The next time you open the report, the same columns will be visible. Use the All button in the column chooser to show every column, or Reset to return to the default set.

Exporting Data

Click Export in the toolbar to download a CSV of the current table view. The export respects your column visibility and period selection.

Troubleshooting

The report shows "Cube not configured"

The KPI report requires the data warehouse (Cube.js) to be configured for your environment. Contact your administrator to verify the data warehouse connection.

Some locations show zero for all metrics

The location may not have data flowing into the data warehouse yet. Confirm that the location is active and that the nightly data sync has run.

YoY columns show "new" instead of a percentage

This means the location had no data in the prior year period. There is no baseline to calculate a percentage change, so the cell displays "new" to indicate this is the first period with data.
