View Modes Reference

Several modules in MaidCentral Pulse let you switch how your data is displayed. Each view shows the same records in a different layout, so you can choose the one that fits your task. This article explains every view available across the Schedule, Contacts, Timesheets, and Sales Pipeline modules.

How View Switching Works

On pages that support multiple views, you will find a view selector in the top toolbar. The selector usually appears as a row of small icons or labeled tabs. Click any icon or tab to switch views. Your chosen view is saved in the page URL, so refreshing the page or sharing the link keeps the same view active.

Not all modules have a view selector. Modules with a single display type do not show one.

Schedule Views

The Schedule page has four views, shown as tabs at the top of the page.

Timeline

What it shows: A day-by-day Gantt chart with every team as a horizontal row and jobs as blocks placed at their scheduled times.

Best for: Dispatching and adjusting jobs on a specific day. Drag jobs left or right to change the time, or drag them to a different team row to reassign. Gaps, overlaps, and scheduling conflicts are immediately visible.

The Timeline is the default view when you open Schedule. You can filter by team, zone, scope group, or technician using the filters in the toolbar.

Calendar

What it shows: A monthly calendar with a count of jobs on each day. Clicking a day shows the jobs scheduled for that date.

Best for: Getting a high-level view of scheduling density across the month. Good for spotting busy and slow weeks at a glance. You can add jobs directly from the calendar view.

Master Schedule

What it shows: A multi-week Gantt chart that spans several service cycles. Each row represents a customer's recurring service pattern.

Best for: Managing recurring services and cycle-based scheduling. If a customer has a service every two weeks, you can see the full pattern across multiple cycles in one view. Useful for planning capacity over upcoming periods.

Route

What it shows: A geographic map of all team routes for the selected day. Each team's jobs are color-coded and displayed as a sequence of stops on the map.

Best for: Reviewing and optimizing field routes. You can see where teams are driving and identify opportunities to tighten routes.

The Route view has two sub-modes you can toggle:

  • Map — The default sub-mode. Shows team routes overlaid on a street map.
  • List — Switches to a text list of routes and job stops without the map.

Contacts Views

The Contacts page has three views, selected using the icon buttons in the toolbar.

Table

What it shows: A server-side paginated table of all customers and leads with columns for name, phone number, email, billing term, tags, and more. The table supports search, column sorting, and a full filter drawer.

Best for: Day-to-day customer management, searching for specific records, and running bulk actions. This is the default view when you open Contacts.

The Table view has two complexity levels you can toggle:

  • Simple — A focused table with the most-used columns. Good for quick lookups and everyday tasks.
  • Advanced — An expanded table with additional columns, more filter options, and the ability to save custom column configurations as named grid views. The Advanced table may need to be enabled for your company.

Map

What it shows: An interactive map with each customer or lead plotted as a pin at their service address. Zone boundaries can be overlaid on the map to show geographic coverage.

Best for: Understanding where your customers are located, identifying coverage gaps, and planning service zones. When you are viewing the Leads tab, the map shows lead locations so you can see demand by area.

Click any pin to see a summary of that customer or lead and open their detail page.

note

The Map view may need to be enabled for your company. If you do not see the Map icon in the toolbar, contact your administrator.

Timesheets Views

The Time page has three views, shown as tabs in the top toolbar. All three views show data for the selected date. Use the date picker to navigate between days.

Timeline

What it shows: A horizontal visual timeline for each technician showing when they clocked in, when they clocked out, their breaks, and any schedule gaps. Color-coded bars make it easy to see durations at a glance.

Best for: Reviewing a day of time entries visually. You can immediately see who arrived late, who has gaps, and how each person's day was structured. This is the default view when you open Time.

A variance overlay is available directly on the Timeline. Toggle it on to overlay the scheduled shift hours so you can compare planned versus actual without switching views.

Variance

What it shows: A comparison table with one row per technician showing their scheduled hours alongside their actual clocked hours for the day. The difference is calculated and highlighted.

Best for: Quickly auditing whether technicians worked the expected hours. Technicians who worked significantly more or less than scheduled are easy to spot in this view.

Table View

What it shows: A full sortable and filterable AG Grid table of all individual timesheet entries for the day. Each row is one time entry (clock-in or clock-out pair), with columns for technician, team, job, time in, time out, and duration.

Best for: Exporting time data, reviewing specific entries, and making corrections. You can sort, filter, and select rows for export. This view is also useful for payroll review.

Sales Pipeline Views

The Sales Pipeline page is always a Kanban board. There are two ways to group the board.

By Status (Default)

What it shows: Leads arranged in columns based on their current stage in the sales pipeline. Columns represent stages such as New Lead, Quote Sent, Follow Up, and Won. Drag a lead card from one column to another to move it to a new stage.

Best for: Managing the overall sales pipeline flow. See how many leads are at each stage and identify where bottlenecks exist.

By Sales Rep

What it shows: The same leads regrouped into columns by the sales representative assigned to them. Instead of stage columns, each column represents a sales rep's current workload.

Best for: Managing individual rep performance and balancing workload. You can see at a glance which reps have the most active leads and where follow-ups may be needed.

Switch between these two groupings using the toggle at the top of the Sales Pipeline page.

Saved Grid Views

On pages with the Advanced Table view, you can save your current column configuration as a named grid view. Saved views remember which columns are visible, their order, and their widths. Once saved, you can switch between your saved views from a dropdown in the toolbar.

Saved grid views are personal by default. Administrators can share views with the whole team so everyone has access to a consistent column setup for reports or workflows.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use the Timeline view in Schedule for day-to-day dispatching — it gives the clearest picture of what is assigned and what has gaps.
  • Use the Calendar view in Schedule to plan ahead across weeks or months.
  • Use the Table view in Contacts for bulk actions like sending a campaign or exporting a list.
  • Use the Map view in Contacts when you need to understand geographic distribution or identify a customer's location quickly.
  • Use the Variance view in Timesheets during payroll review to catch discrepancies before approving time.
  • Use the Table View in Timesheets when you need to export time data or make corrections to individual entries.
  • Your view selection is saved in the URL — you can bookmark a specific view to return to it quickly.
