Platform Notifications

Platform notifications let the MaidCentral team send important announcements, updates, and tips directly inside the app. You don't need to check your email — the message appears right where you're already working.

Overview​

Platform notifications are short messages that appear automatically when they are relevant to you. They can announce new features, share important updates, or remind you about something that needs your attention. You will only see notifications that are meant for your role.

There are two ways a notification can appear. A banner shows as a slim bar at the top of the page. It has the notification title, a short preview of the message, and sometimes a link to learn more. A modal is a pop-up window that appears in the center of the screen. It can include a title, a full message, an image, and a button to take action.

Notifications are shown based on the dates and settings configured by the platform team. Once you dismiss a notification, it may or may not appear again depending on how it was set up. Some notifications are shown only once. Others reappear each time you log in. Some stay visible until their expiration date passes.

How to Dismiss a Notification​

Dismissing a Banner​

  1. Look for the bar at the top of the page, just below the main navigation.
  2. If there is a link in the banner, you can click it to learn more. The link opens in a new tab.
  3. Click the X button on the right side of the banner to close it.

The banner disappears immediately when you dismiss it.

Dismissing a Modal​

  1. Read the message in the pop-up window.
  2. If there is a button with a label like Learn More or View Details, click it to follow the link. It opens in a new tab.
  3. Click Dismiss to close the window.

Only one modal appears at a time. If there are multiple notifications waiting, the next one appears after you dismiss the current one.

Tips​

  • Notifications are filtered for your role. You will not see notifications meant for other roles.
  • Some notifications disappear after you dismiss them and will not appear again. Others reappear each time you log in.
  • If a notification includes a link button, you can click it and still dismiss the notification separately.
  • Banners show a short preview of the message. Open a modal notification to see the full details.

Troubleshooting​
