Website Lead Form
Send leads from your own website to MaidCentral, either with our ready-made lead form or with a form you already have. Every lead lands in your lead list for your team to follow up.
All three options are in Settings > Quoting & Scopes > Form Builder: on the Add a form to your website card, pick Lead form under What should visitors see?. If you don't see the card, website forms may need to be turned on for your company. Submit a ticket (see Contact Support).
Which address does my website form post to?
Your form posts to your company's own lead address, https://yourcompany.maidcentral.ai/quoting/lead. Under Lead form, open Send leads from your own website form and copy the Form POST address.
- Set your form's
methodtopostand itsactionto that address. - The address uses your company's web address, so leads always go to your company.
- If you moved from MaidCentral V2 and point your V2 web address at Pulse, forms that already post to
/quoting/leadkeep working without changes.
What fields can I send to the lead form?
Use these field names exactly. The POST JSON sample under Send leads from your own website form has every field, ready to copy, and Prefill parameters shows the names the lead form page reads from its address: FirstName, LastName, Email, Phone, PostalCode, CustomerSourceId and RedirectUrl.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
FirstName, LastName | The customer's name |
Email, Phone | How to reach them |
PostalCode (or Zip) | Decides which branch gets the lead |
Notes | Saved on the lead as a note |
RedirectUrl (or redirect) | Optional page to send the customer to after they submit |
CustomerSourceId | Optional lead source from your list of sources |
smsConsentTransactional, smsConsentMarketing | Optional SMS consent checkboxes (true when checked) |
utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content | Optional ad tracking, saved with the lead |
Spam filter: leave Comments blank. Add a hidden field named Comments to your form. People never see it; spam bots fill it in, and a post with Comments filled in is ignored and nothing is saved. Notes is saved on the lead as a note, so use Notes for real comments.
The sample also lists the optional home, billing, service and preferred-time fields (ScopeGroupId, ScopeOfWorkId, Frequency, PECode and others). See the next section for their values.
Where do I find my scope and frequency IDs?
Under Lead form, open Send leads from your own website form and click Lead form data. Lead form options opens with:
- A table of your active scope groups and their services that have online frequencies: Scope Group Id, Scope Group, Scope Id, Scope and Frequencies. Each frequency shows its code; point at a code to see its name. Send these as
ScopeGroupId,ScopeOfWorkIdandFrequency. - A table of the other options:
PECode,PEStartTime,PEEndTime,PEDaysOfWeek, home details,EmailQuoteand billing address. To save home details or email the quote (EmailQuote), also sendScopeGroupId,ScopeOfWorkIdandFrequency. WithEmailQuote, the quote email goes out 5 minutes after the lead is posted, and not at all if the lead books first.
Redirect: with RedirectUrl, the reply is the address to send the customer to, with their name, phone, ZIP and email added. Without it, the reply is "Thank you for your request. You will receive your quote shortly."
How do I put the MaidCentral lead form on my website?
- Go to Settings > Quoting & Scopes > Form Builder.
- On the Add a form to your website card, pick Lead form. Click Preview to see the form in a new tab first.
- Open Embed code on your website, click Copy, and paste the code into your website where the form should appear.
The form asks for first name, last name, email, phone and ZIP, shows the two SMS consent checkboxes, and has a Request Estimate button in your brand color. The embed code makes it half the width of the page, as MaidCentral V2 did; change width="50%" in the code to make it wider. You can also copy the Link and link straight to the lead form page instead of embedding it.
When your branch has a website quote page address on file from MaidCentral V2, the Link and the embed code already end in ?redirect= with that address, so customers go there after they submit.
To send customers to your own thank-you page, add ?redirect=https://yoursite.com/thanks to the end of the form's address. If the address already has a redirect=, change its value instead of adding a second one. To fill in the first name or track an ad, add &FirstName= or &utm_source= after it (use ? when the address has no ? yet).
What happens when a lead comes in?
- The lead goes to the branch whose home zone has the customer's ZIP code, with the status Needs Contacted and the note "Self service internet lead."
- If the same email or phone already belongs to an open lead in that branch, that lead is updated instead of a second one being created, and the note is left open for follow-up.
- The customer gets your lead email when they gave a valid email address.
- A ZIP that isn't in any zone sends the lead to your first branch with the note "Self service internet lead. Outside service area.", and no lead follow-up campaign starts.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | Solution |
|---|---|
| No lead was created | Check that the hidden Comments field is empty (a filled-in Comments means the post is ignored) and the ZIP or postal code is valid. Put real comments in Notes, which is saved on the lead. |
| The lead went to the wrong branch | Check which home zone has that ZIP under Settings > Home zones. |
| A customer gets "This form is not available." | Website forms are off for your company. Submit a ticket. |
| The embedded form doesn't resize | Make sure the embed code includes both the iframe and the script line. |
