Quoting Overview
The Quoting module gives office teams one place to estimate work, communicate pricing, and convert approved quotes into booked jobs.

Technician and Customer roles do not receive quoting permissions by default.
Feature and Permission Gating
Quoting depends on both your company's features and your own permissions:
- The Quoting feature must be turned on for your company
- Individual quoting capabilities (simplified quoting, rate modifiers, room-based pricing, and conditional logic) can be turned on separately, so your company may not see every option
- Your role must include quote permissions to view, create, edit, delete, or price quotes
Where Quoting Lives
- Building and sending a quote for a lead: the Full-Page Estimate, opened from the New menu, a lead's Contact Details page, or the Sales Pipeline
- Where New Customer and quote actions open: see New Customer and Quote Entry Points
- The customer-facing embedded quote form: see Online Quoting Setup
Core Lifecycle
Most teams follow this flow:
- Create a quote with customer details and service selections.
- Generate pricing from configured scopes, frequencies, and modifiers.
- Send quote details by email or SMS.
- Track quote status (Needs Contacted, Contacted, Quoted, Follow Up, After Follow Up, Booked, Closed).
- Convert approved work into booking and scheduling actions.
Good to Know
- The quote list supports searching, sorting, and filtering, and loads results a page at a time
- If someone else saves changes to a quote after you opened it, your save does not overwrite theirs; reload the quote and make your change again
- Deleting a quote changes its status rather than erasing it, so the record is kept for audit purposes
External (Embedded) Quoting
The embedded quote form lets customers get a quote without signing in. It identifies your company from your web address, always runs in external quoting mode, and hides internal-only pricing breakdown details from customers.
