The MaidSense settings tab only appears when the MaidSense Command Center feature is enabled for your company. Contact your administrator if you do not see it.

Choosing a Personality
The personality setting controls the conversational style MaidSense uses with customers.
| Personality | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Friendly | Cheerful and bright. Uses first names. Good for residential cleaning companies that emphasize a personal touch. |
| Professional | Formal and polished. Uses Mr./Mrs. Best for corporate or high-end clientele. |
| Casual | Relaxed and conversational, like texting a friend. Works well for younger audiences or informal brands. |
| Direct | Brief and to the point, no small talk. Ideal when customers prefer fast answers. |
Setting the Avatar
You can provide an avatar image two ways:
- URL -- Paste a link to a hosted image (must start with
https://). - Upload -- Choose a file from your computer (max 2 MB, image files only).
A square image (1:1 ratio) is recommended. The avatar displays as a circle in the chat widget, so non-square images may be cropped.
Setting the Primary Color
Enter a hex color code (for example, #005DA5) or use the color picker. This color is applied to:
- The chat widget header and send button
- The floating chat bubble on your website
- Branded elements in the Pulse Connect portal chat
If you leave this blank, MaidSense defaults to the brand color from Settings > Logos & Marketing.
How Changes Take Effect
Click Save after making changes. The updated identity is used in all new conversations immediately. Customers who already have an open chat session will see the new identity when they refresh or start a new session.
Tips
- Keep the assistant name short and recognizable. Many companies use their brand name plus "Assistant" (for example, "Sparkle Cleaning Assistant").
- Write a greeting that sets expectations. Mention what MaidSense can help with -- scheduling, quotes, questions -- so customers know what to ask.
- Test the personality by opening the chat widget on your website after saving. Send a few messages to confirm the tone feels right for your brand.
