v0.24.0 brings an editable Core KPI monthly cost, a partial-date-range Payroll Summary, V2-matching customer portal tipping, automatic home zone assignment, and a wide set of payroll, quoting, scheduling, dispatch, automation, and technician portal fixes.

Important Changes

  • Payroll: Minimum Wage (Per Job) in Settings > Payroll Options > Wages & Rates now applies to job pay in Pulse, as it already does in MaidCentral V2. When a captain's or team mate's pay for a job works out below this hourly rate, that job's pay is raised to the rate multiplied by their hours on the job; trainees and salaried employees are not affected. Companies that do not want a per-job floor should set the field to 0.
  • Technicians: The Activate account link in a new technician's account email now opens Pulse's password setup. After creating a password, the technician is signed straight in, or asked for their verification code first if their role requires two-step verification. Previously the link opened the classic MaidCentral reset page.
  • Service Zones: Customers are now matched to a service zone automatically from their postal code whenever you add, change or remove a ZIP code under Settings > Team & Operations > Service Zones. This also moves customers who were assigned to a zone by hand when their postal code belongs to a different zone. If you prefer to manage zone assignments yourself, turn off Automatic Home Zone Assignment under Settings > Integrations & System > Pulse Features.
  • Technician Portal: Technicians now need to clock in for the day before they can open a job, matching MaidCentral V2. Future Job Visibility on, or the Office role on the technician's login, lifts the block. A technician on a break sees "You're on a break" and can end the break from the job page.

Highlights

  • Automatic Home Zone Assignment — Customers are now matched to a service zone automatically from their postal code; companies that prefer to assign zones by hand can turn this off in Settings.
  • Core KPI Monthly Cost — Enter and edit the monthly cost directly on the Core KPI report card; it's remembered for the week and carried forward automatically when payroll closes.
  • Payroll Summary Partial Date Range — Run Payroll Summary for any date range you choose, not just a full week. Closing a pay period still requires the full week.
  • Customer Portal Tipping Matches V2 — Portal tips now follow the same percentage and billing-terms rules as MaidCentral V2, and retrying a declined payment no longer double-charges a card that already has a preauthorization.
  • Twilio Number Routing Visibility — The Twilio card in Settings > Integrations now shows exactly where each number's texts and calls are currently routed, Pulse or V2, with its live webhook URL.
  • "Job Running Behind Schedule" Alerts Now Fire — The automation that flags a job running behind schedule is live for the first time, firing once a job is more than 60 minutes past its scheduled start.
  • Sales Pipeline Leads Restored — Leads modified today, and leads hidden by Clear All's old 30-day window, show up on the Sales Pipeline board again.
  • Day Clock-Out Guard — Technicians can no longer clock out for the day while still checked into a job; the app explains why when it's blocked.
  • On The Way Prompts Fixed — The On The Way prompt now fires for the right job right after check-out, skips jobs where it's turned off, and stops once a customer has already been notified.
  • New Scope of Work Visibility — A scope of work created in Settings now appears immediately in New Quote's service level dropdown.

What's New to Try

Automatic Home Zone Assignment

Add, change, or remove a ZIP code under Settings > Team & Operations > Service Zones and watch matching customers move to the right zone automatically. Turn it off under Settings > Integrations & System > Pulse Features if you'd rather assign zones by hand.

Core KPI Monthly Cost

Open the Core KPI report and look for the monthly cost card — enter a value and it's remembered for that payroll week, carrying forward automatically the next time payroll closes.

Payroll Summary Partial Range

Open Payroll > Summary and pick a shorter date range instead of a full week. Closing a pay period still needs the full week, but the summary itself doesn't.

Twilio Routing

Go to Settings > Integrations and open your Twilio card to see exactly where each number's texts and calls are routed right now.

New Scope of Work

Create a new scope of work in Settings > Quoting > Scopes of Work, then open New Quote — it shows up in the service level dropdown right away.

Detailed Changes

Enhancements

  • Automatic Home Zone Assignment: Homes are now matched to a service zone automatically by postal code whenever you add, change, or remove a ZIP code or a customer's address; this also moves a customer who was assigned to a zone by hand if their postal code belongs to a different zone. Turn it off in Settings > Integrations & System > Pulse Features to manage zones yourself.
  • Core KPI Monthly Cost: Enter the monthly cost directly on the Core KPI report card; it shows a dash until a value is entered, is stored per payroll week, and carries forward automatically when payroll closes.
  • Payroll Summary Partial Date Range: Run Payroll Summary for any date range you choose. Closing a pay period still requires the full week.
  • Twilio Number Routing: The Twilio card in Settings > Integrations now shows exactly where a number's texts and calls are routed, along with its live webhook URL, credentials, and a test-send option.
  • Scope of Work External Quoting: When creating a new scope of work in Settings > Quoting > Scopes of Work, you can now turn on External Quoting directly from the creation form (off by default).
  • Availability Calendar Scope Groups: The availability calendar now shows each selected scope group separately instead of combining them.
  • Technician Portal Lists: Notes, photos, scorecards, time-off requests, and pay periods in the technician portal now load a page at a time with a Load more button instead of loading everything at once.
  • Technicians: Request Time Off: "Request PTO" is now called "Request Time Off" everywhere in the app, and the button only shows for roles with permission to create time-off requests.

Bug Fixes

  • Quoting: New scopes of work created in Settings now appear immediately in New Quote's service level dropdown, instead of only after being reopened and saved again.
  • Quoting: Save & Continue now waits until required pricing questions are answered, and an answered value of 0 displays as 0 instead of blank.
  • Quoting: Fixed pricing questions occasionally showing the saved answer from a different linked question.
  • Leads: Editing a lead's contact info no longer leaves behind a stale quote notification for the old contact.
  • Customer Portal: Portal tips now follow the same percentage and billing-terms rules as MaidCentral V2, and retrying a declined payment no longer double-charges a card with an existing preauthorization or drops the saved tip.
  • Invoicing: Tips added after payroll closes are now dated to the next open pay period instead of a closed one.
  • Payroll: Minimum Wage (Per Job) now applies to job pay in Pulse, matching MaidCentral V2; trainees, salaried employees, and $0 or 0-hour timesheets are not affected.
  • Franchise: Office rate modifications no longer incorrectly exclude royalties for franchise companies.
  • Technicians: The app now explains why terminating a technician failed, instead of failing silently.
  • Technicians: The Activate account link now opens Pulse's password setup and signs the technician in afterward (or asks for their verification code), instead of the classic MaidCentral reset page.
  • Technician Portal: On The Way prompts no longer appear for jobs where it's turned off, now correctly prompt for the next job right after check-out, and stop once a customer has already been notified.
  • Technician Portal: Technicians can no longer clock out for the day while still checked into a job; the app shows why when blocked.
  • Technician Portal: Time-off requests without an end date are no longer dropped, and canceling a request immediately refreshes the calendar and balances.
  • Technician Portal: Fixed garbled special characters on the settings and profile pages, corrected attendance percentages, and added a date range filter with loading and error states to the Earnings tab's attendance stats.
  • Technician Portal: Job cards on the Today view now show Done and the right time-to-complete status based on the whole crew's clock state, not just the viewing technician's.
  • Technician Portal: The profile page now shows dates and numbers in your locale format, colored skill and tag badges, and the same Employee ID the office sees.
  • Technician Portal: The Help menu now opens correctly and only shows when the knowledge base is available.
  • Automations: Scorecard send automations no longer send duplicate requests when a workflow runs more than once.
  • Reporting: Sales KPI now groups each day's activity using the branch's own time zone instead of one company-wide clock, includes totals rows, and correctly credits MaidCentral staff.
  • Dashboard: The revenue trend chart's text labels no longer overlap and are easier to read.
  • Photos: Photos uploaded across the app keep their correct color and look sharper after being resized.
  • Dispatch: The Flagged Jobs count now matches the panel, opens the panel when clicked, and refreshes after a job moves.
  • Scheduling: Shared-job labor now splits correctly per team on the schedule timeline.
  • Scheduling: Open-ended square-footage pricing questions in Add Service now price correctly and are never skipped by default; the Team field and previously booked team stay correct after switching to multi-team mode or applying a suggestion.
  • Messaging: Text message tickets in the work queue now open directly in the right Pulse Connect conversation.
  • Dispatch: Home Keys ticks on the dispatch board are now saved to the job, so every dispatcher sees the same state on any computer; previously a tick lived only in the browser and could be lost on refresh or overwritten from a second tab.
  • Jobs: Editing Service Set Instructions or Service Set Equipment from the job drawer's Instructions tab now actually saves; it previously reported success without saving anything.
  • Jobs: Tickets closed from the Ticket Board or Work Queue now correctly show as closed on the job drawer instead of appearing open.
  • Technicians: The Pay Rates card now shows Salary when a technician is salaried instead of always showing an hourly rate, and Create/Edit Technician now uses MaidCentral's plain Hourly Rate, Min/Max Hourly Rate, and Salary fields instead of a Pay Type selector.
  • Time: Technicians with approved time off or an excused absence now correctly show as off on the Time timeline, table, and mobile cards instead of appearing scheduled.
  • Payroll: Hourly and Team Hourly job clocks are now paid at the timesheet's own rate instead of the technician's default hourly rate.
  • Maps: Picking a street address from autocomplete now fills in City even when the mapping provider doesn't return one.
  • Quoting: A property with no ZIP code, or one outside every service zone, now still shows pricing (with a note that it's outside a zone) instead of "No frequency options available."
  • Quoting: Simplified (linear) scopes created in Settings now price correctly instead of defaulting to the scope minimum; the pricing calculator no longer shows blank required fields as if they were already saved, and clearing a field no longer blocks Save.
  • Sales Pipeline: Leads modified today, and leads hidden by Clear All's old 30-day window, now show up on the board again.
  • Scheduling: The schedule now loads every event for a busy day instead of silently dropping any past the first 25.
  • Scheduling: Starting Create Service Set from an empty Not Scheduled slot now actually books the job there instead of leaving it unassigned.
  • Automations: The "job running behind schedule" alert now actually runs (it previously never fired in any environment); it flags a job once per scheduled start, starting 60 minutes late.
  • Automations: Lead follow-up note automations are no longer incorrectly blocked, and Drip Campaign rules no longer enroll the same lead or quote twice after a legacy migration.
  • Automations: Scorecard reminder follow-ups now resume automatically for companies that already had this turned on in the legacy system, instead of sending only the first reminder and stopping.
  • Automations: Removed two built-in automations ("Employee Schedule Request" and "Employee Time Change Request") that showed as Active but could never actually run.
  • Notifications: A branch with no notification group no longer blocks that day's reminder notifications for every other branch, and 1/2/3/7-day reminder notifications now run on their daily schedule.
  • Payments: Clicking Run Automation on the Preauthorization page no longer places a duplicate card hold on a branch where the legacy system is already running automatic preauthorization.
  • Invoicing: Long product/service descriptions and notes on invoice and pay sheet PDFs now wrap or split across lines and pages instead of being cut off, and PDFs render reliably.
  • Technician Portal: Rejecting an office time change now lets a technician propose corrected clock times in the same step.
  • Technician Portal: The job detail page now shows the service zone, customer notification settings, service set description, and any teammate time-change requests on the job.
