v0.22.0 ships Charge Customers for deposits and pre-billing, a live QuickBooks balance badge on customer and schedule views, an Office Summary PDF, company logo uploads, in-drawer customer contact management, and a wide set of payroll, scheduling, and map fixes.

Highlights

  • Charge Customers — Collect deposits or pre-bill upcoming jobs by date range right from Pulse. Navigate to Payments > Charge Customers to pick a date range and run cards for the jobs it finds.
  • Customer QuickBooks Balance — See a customer's live QuickBooks balance — overdue, owes, or credit — on their details page, on schedule cards, and on the Dispatch board, so the office always knows where an account stands.
  • Office Summary PDF — Print a one-sheet overview of a day's schedule (roster, customer emails, and team stop lists) straight from the Print Job Worksheets dialog on the Schedule page.
  • Logo & Branding Uploads — Upload your company logo directly in Pulse at Settings > Company > Logos & Branding — no more emailing files to support.
  • Manage Contacts from the Customer Drawer — Add, edit, and remove a customer's contacts without leaving the Edit Customer drawer, including setting the first contact when a customer has none yet.
  • Out-of-Area Lead Tagging — Leads outside your service area are now automatically tagged and noted, and the Leads pipeline has a new Exclude Tags filter to keep them out of your working view.
  • Offline-Safe Technician Clocks — Job and event clock-ins captured while a technician's phone has no signal now replay automatically once connectivity returns, instead of being lost.
  • User Management Refresh — The User Management settings tab has a cleaner layout with status icons, technician-specific labels, and filtering by role.

What's New to Try

Charge Customers

Head to Payments > Charge Customers, pick a date range, and run deposit or pre-bill charges for the jobs that fall inside it — one page, no spreadsheet.

Customer QuickBooks Balance

Open any customer's details page and look for the balance badge — it shows whether they're overdue, owe a balance, or carry a credit, pulled live from QuickBooks. The same badge now appears on schedule cards and the Dispatch board.

Office Summary PDF

From the Schedule page, open Print Job Worksheets and choose the new Office Summary option for a single-page overview of the day — roster, customer emails, and team stop lists.

Logo & Branding

Visit Settings > Company > Logos & Branding and upload your logo directly — it shows up anywhere Pulse displays your branding.

Customer Contacts

Open a customer's Edit Customer drawer and manage their contacts right there — add a first contact, edit an existing one, or remove one you no longer need.

Out-of-Area Leads

Check the Sales Pipeline — leads outside your service area are tagged automatically, and the new Exclude Tags filter lets you hide them from your working list.

Offline Technician Clocks

If a technician clocks in or out with no signal, that clock now shows up once their phone reconnects — nothing is lost waiting for a connection.

Detailed Changes

Features

  • Charge Customers: Collect deposits or pre-bill upcoming jobs by date range, with one card run per company to prevent double-charging. Available at Payments > Charge Customers.
  • Customer QuickBooks Balance: A live-read balance badge (overdue, owes, or credit) now appears on a customer's details page, on schedule cards, and on the Dispatch board.
  • Office Summary PDF: A new one-sheet printable overview of a day's schedule — roster, customer emails, and team stop lists — available from Print Job Worksheets on the Schedule page.
  • Logo & Branding Uploads: Upload your company logo directly at Settings > Company > Logos & Branding.
  • Manage Customer Contacts from the Edit Customer Drawer: Add, edit, and remove a customer's contacts without leaving the drawer, including adding a customer's very first contact.
  • Offline-Safe Technician Clocks: Job and event clock-ins captured while offline now replay automatically once the technician's phone reconnects.
  • QuickBooks-Linked Customer Portal Invoices: Customers whose invoices are tracked in QuickBooks can now see those invoices and their balance in the customer portal.

Enhancements

  • Out-of-Area Lead Tagging & Exclude Tags Filter: Leads outside your service area are tagged and noted automatically, and the Sales Pipeline now has an Exclude Tags filter to hide them from view.
  • User Management Refresh: The Settings > Administration > User Management tab has status icons, technician-specific labels, and a role filter, and lists users under their highest role.
  • Day Clock Required Before Clocking Into a Job or Event: Technicians now need an open day clock before clocking into a job or event, keeping time records consistent.
  • Required Quote Questions at Booking: Booking a job now checks only the quote questions relevant to the scopes selected, and blocks submission until they're answered.
  • Reschedule Reasons: Rescheduling a job now offers your company's configured Move and Bump reasons, and jobs can be rescheduled onto the Not Scheduled team.
  • Default Schedule Hours Follow Business Hours: The default schedule grid now reflects your business hours and honors your 12-hour or 24-hour time preference, including early-morning and later-evening starts.
  • Master Schedule Team Columns: The Not Scheduled team column is back on the Master Schedule, and team header corners now match the rest of the grid.
  • Technician Edit Drawer Confirms Before Discarding Changes: Closing a technician's edit drawer with unsaved changes now asks for confirmation, and each step validates before moving to the next.
  • Ticket Close-Note History: Tickets now show their full close-note history with who wrote each note, plus a box to add a new one.
  • Multi-Role Technician Portal Access: Users who hold a technician role alongside other roles can now reach the Technician Portal from the navigation menu and by URL.

Bug Fixes

  • Schedule: Fixed dragging an event on the schedule clearing its notes and office assignment — both are now kept.
  • Tickets: Fixed the Teams Today complaint chip showing for any ticket instead of only open complaints, and corrected wording on the At-Risk Jobs empty state.
  • Payroll: Fixed the Payroll Summary listing hourly employees with no activity for the period, and made its Refresh button actually reload validations. Employee productivity now recalculates correctly when payroll closes, and incentive pay and additional pay amounts with a minus sign now save correctly.
  • Payroll: Fixed a crash opening the Incentive Pay page on a blank date, and duplicate productivity rows no longer block a rate increase plan.
  • Dashboard: Payroll and staffing figures are now hidden from the office Dashboard for roles without labor-cost access, and same-day cancellations are counted on the correct day.
  • Reports: Fixed Job Metrics and Upcoming Jobs showing the wrong date range in some US timezones.
  • Settings: Fixed the Backspace key deleting an extra character from zone ZIP codes and notification email recipients.
  • Invoicing: Invoice dates and activity timestamps now show the branch's own local day instead of a UTC-shifted one.
  • Scheduling: Fixed invoice and charge failures — including declined cards — not showing up in the job drawer, so the office can see when a charge needs attention.
  • Technician Schedule: Fixed technician schedules and profiles showing the wrong day, failing to load a full week of jobs, or crashing for technicians with a busy week.
  • Jobs: A refused status change now shows the office who is still checked in to the job.
  • Customers: Fixed the Add Contact and New Customer flow mishandling addresses outside the service area or an incomplete address suggestion.
  • Maps: Fixed map provider switching, zoom limits, and popups across the Schedule, Route, and Zone maps.
  • Leads: The Leads map now loads reliably and retries automatically if it fails the first time.
  • Quoting: Fixed an estimate continuing to show an outdated pricing scope after quoting settings changed.

Coming Soon

  • Contact List Export — Exporting your contact list to a file is on the way.
