Switching Between MaidCentral V2 and Pulse

If your company still uses MaidCentral V2 (also called CastleQuick) alongside Pulse, you can preview Pulse directly from V2 without signing in again, and return to V2 with one click.

note

This is different from Classic Experience Mode, which is a layout toggle inside Pulse itself. Switching between V2 and Pulse moves between the two separate applications.

Who Can Use This

This applies to companies with both MaidCentral V2 and Pulse available. Your administrator controls whether the handoff is turned on. If you don't see a "Preview Pulse" option in V2, or don't see Back to V2 after arriving in Pulse, it isn't enabled for your company yet.

Opening Pulse from V2

  1. In MaidCentral V2, use the Preview Pulse option (shown in V2's banner or navigation, depending on your company's setup).
  2. You're signed into Pulse automatically — no separate login is needed.
  3. Pulse opens on your dashboard.

Returning to V2

Once you've arrived in Pulse this way, a Back to V2 button appears in the top navigation bar.

  1. Select Back to V2.
  2. Your browser tab returns to your MaidCentral V2 site.

Your V2 session is still active when you return — you are not signed out of V2 while previewing Pulse.

note

Back to V2 only appears in the tab that arrived via the V2 handoff. If you navigate to Pulse directly (for example, by typing the address or using a bookmark) or open Pulse in a new tab, the button is not shown, since that tab did not arrive from V2.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use this to try Pulse without losing your place in V2. Your V2 session stays open, so returning is a single click.
  • The button is per-tab. If you open Pulse in a second tab, that tab won't have a Back to V2 button — return to the original tab instead, or navigate back to your V2 URL directly.
  • Refreshing the Pulse tab keeps the button. It's tied to your browser tab, not just the page you're on, so normal navigation within Pulse doesn't remove it.
